We are excited to present this Songbook Volume 2, including 13 totally new songs from 10 moorditj Aboriginal songwriters plus four songs from Vol 1, updated with Noongar translations. George Walley’s highly popular ‘Wandjoo My Friend’ has an extra verse, welcoming 18 new animals ‘back to our home’. A song for the Six Noongar Seasons was written by our Koorlong - Noongar songs in schools team - ‘Bibbulmun Bonar’. This has already proved a winner with koorlungas (children). 'It's so nice to have a local resource and having the backing tracks is great for using at assemblies.' Juli Brown, Music Teacher
The 18 Songs in this original book and CD range in difficulty, for different situations and ages. Many incorporate Noongar language of SW Australia. Schools are loving this book as there are so few resources of this kind available. The positive effect on kids as they sing these songs at school (and take them home) is marked.

'I received the book and think it’s fantastic. It’s tricky to source indigenous music resources so this book is a godsend!'

This simple picture book tells a big story of Madjitil Moorna Choir's unlikely five-year project in WA's remote Kimberley town of Halls Creek. It's all about the great song written with the kids, about 'the best thing in Halls Creek'!
Key players tell the story along with the lyrics of this song , illustrated by the kids themselves.
